IMPORTANT: How does the Backup and Update Service work?

After your Onlineshop is finished, we will install it at your hosting provider.

So that we can install your Onlineshop at your hoster, you have provided Onlineshop24 with an admin account on your WordPress/WooCommerce installation. Then Onlineshop24 installs the WooCommerce software, your Onlineshop with all pages and products. Additionally several software extensions and plugins to make your Onlineshop run smoothly.

Your Onlineshop is then ready to accept the first purchases and orders.

Onlineshop24 has installed WooCommerce and other files such as templates, themes, images, software and plugins for you. It is recommended to update these files regularly (Update) and to create backup copies (Backup). You can easily perform this task yourself or have it performed by your administrator.

Onlineshop24 offers a backup and update service where these tasks are taken over for you. As a customer of the Hire Purchase Onlineshop, the backup and update service is included in the monthly rent without additional costs. (Customers who have chosen the fixed price Onlineshop can add the Backup and Update Service)

With the Backup and Update Service, the software will remain up-to-date in the future: Every month, the installed WordPress software and the software components* required for the Onlineshop are updated to the latest version.

So that your data is not lost, a backup of your Onlineshop is created every week. This backup includes the backup of plugins, themes, uploads and the database. The last two backups are stored on an external server for you, so that they can be accessed if your server is no longer available. The creation of the backup including the saving of the files is done byUpdraft Plus.
